College Tours

College Tours

LNESC College Tours are designed to encourage high school juniors and seniors to enroll into post-secondary education by exposing them first-hand to a college campus. The college campus tours provide students, in select sites, with the opportunity to learn more about the college admissions process, financial aid, campus life, as well as degree and career opportunities in the STEM fields. Speakers include university faculty, staff and college students. LNESC College Tours improve academic performance, increase graduation rates, and help students pursue and successfully complete a post-secondary education.

College Tours

Program Design

The College Tours are a one-day event for 100 high-achieving Hispanic/Latino high school juniors and seniors with an interest in the STEM fields. During 30 to 45 minute sessions, students are exposed to campus life. The sessions offer students the opportunity to interact directly with college students, university faculty and staff, to explore different degree and career opportunities and learn how to apply for college and financial aid.
