Developing Lifelong Learners
Students receive support by having access to tutoring in various academic subjects, such as Math, Science, History, and Spanish. In addition, students get the opportunity to visit various local universities and colleges. Workshops are also offered in various subjects to best equip students with the knowledge and tools to graduate from high school and be successful in their post-secondary education.

Upward bound helped me in so many ways. Before upward bound I was lost and had little to no interest in school. Once I was accepted into the program we went on a trip to Arizona where we went to several little conferences. Over this trip, those speeches and talks helped me realize school is important and I have better things planned for myself. Without this program, I would not have graduated high school.

Upward Bound has helped me understand the importance of searching for opportunities. For example, college tours and scholarship for students. This program has made me find friends that are academically driven like me which makes the program feel like a family.

Upward bounds tutoring have helped me do my work on time and learn how to ask for help when I need it. The workshops have helped me learn about colleges and they helped me know what to expect when getting a job.
