LNESC Oxnard

LNESC Oxnard is located in one of America’s largest agricultural communities along California’s central coast of Ventura County. Amid this beautiful setting, LNESC Oxnard provides services to eligible low-income, first-generation potential college students from the Oxnard Union High School District. The TRIO Upward Bound program equips students with the skills and motivation necessary to complete high school and enter postsecondary education. Additional programs include P.U.E.N.T.E.S. Digital Education, Spectrum Digital Education, Grow with Google, Ford Driving Dreams and Nucleus Robotics and Entrepreneurship courses.

Developing Lifelong Learners

The TRIO Upward Bound program equips students with the skills and motivation necessary to complete high school and enter postsecondary education. The Center also serves DACA and undocumented students as part of its CIDream initiative underwritten through private sponsorships. Additional programs include Spectrum Digital Education, Grow with Google, Ford Driving Dreams and Nucleus Robotics and Entrepreneurship courses.

Upward Bound Channel Islands (UBCI) is the best resource I ever had in high school. UBCI helped me tremendously throughout my high school journey by offering tutoring, workshops, and supporting me with my academics. I was able to maintain all A's thanks to UBCI's tutoring and I received so much support during challenging times.

Programs

Upward Bound

Upward Bound is a FREE, federally funded TRiO program providing fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. Upward Bound projects offer tutoring, advisement, mentoring, and cultural enrichment and supplemental instruction for high school students from low-income and first-generation families and other disconnected youth.
