LNESC Albuquerque's diverse and skilled staff are at the front lines of New Mexico's education crisis and deliver a range of innovative programming including college access, skill development, and technology access, all stimulating postsecondary enrollment and college completion. The center also operates other educational and technology programming designed to foster and motivate STEM interest.

Developing Lifelong Learners

LNESC Albuquerque distinctively operates three TRiO Upward Bound programs at Highland High School, Atrisco Heritage Academy, and Valley High School. Upward Bound is designed to provide opportunities for eligible participants to succeed in their precollege performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits.

Upward Bound


Upward Bound is a FREE, federally funded TRiO program providing fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. Upward Bound projects offer tutoring, advisement, mentoring, and cultural enrichment and supplemental instruction for high school students from low-income and first-generation families and other disconnected youth.

D-Linc


Digital Literacy, Intro to Network and Computers (D-LINC ) is a youth-focused technology and digital skills program providing the skills, resources, and tools needed for basic digital literacy training. Students become proficient in basic computer skills including understanding technology and how it works; working with various devices; the relationship between hardware and software, and online safety.

Sustainable STEM Explorers

STEM Explorers is an after-school program that provides Hispanic/Latina(o) high school students with hands-on, inquiry-based STEM learning. It encourages participants to develop an interest in environmental sciences, sustainability and STEM fields by exposing them to real-world STEM applications and problems through an interactive program curriculum.
